On a fresh install of Virtualmin, and upon checking the system configuration, you may come across the following error message(s):

The ClamAV program clamscan does not appear to be working properly :

LibClamAV Error: cli_loaddb(): No supported database files found in /var/lib/clamav/ ERROR: Can't open file or directory

All this error means is that for some reason, there are not any ClamAV data files available on your system. It's easy to fix though.

To fix this LibClamAV Error, all you have to do is open up a command line and run the following command:


After running freshclam you should see some output from the command. Once freshclam finishes, you can check Virtualmin's configuration again.

To recheck Virtualmin's configuration, just expand the menu item located in the Virtualmin sidebar that says "System Settings" and then click on "Re-Check Configuration".
